Formerly named Goldie, or Golden Spirit.

We got Cane from a family that lost their home and could not find a new home to keep their seven horses.  When they bought Cane, he needed fattening up and LOTS of love ~ and that is just what Kiana (pronounced Key On Ah) gave him!

One item I did agree to was to ask the new owner if Kiana can come visit once or twice a year ~ just to recreate that bond.

Here is Kiana on Cane, proud as can be!! They formed a bond that will last their lifetimes.

Here is Kiana giving her whole heart to this incredible gelding, who gave it right back to her.  Kiana would walk among all 7 horses without fear and love on them all, but he was always her favorite.

Here is Cane today, in our pasture ~ he is very hard to get a picture of when noone is holding him, because he walks right up to you ~ looking for that love and affection.

Cane's new owner should have time to devote to him and give him the attention he deserves ~ very very sweet and gentle on the ground.

Getting him out of the pasture is no problem at all! You don't even need a feed bucket - just walk out there, and he will be at your side within minutes!! Truly an incredible horse ~

We have worked with Cane on a cinching issue and completely resolved it!  This horse simply aims to please ~ he gets jealous when you ride others and don't include him!

Here is Cane after a workout with Jaycee ~ thanks girl!   After working with him on a reining issue, we realized he is soft-mouthed and needs a hackmore - he reins & rides perfectly now!

Kiana, you made a lovely choice when you picked him out of the horses you could have chosen!  I love your heart and lack of selfishness in what you did, and thoroughly enjoyed meeting you ~ so many could learn from you!

He gets along great with all our other horses, and fits in well at any level in a herd.

Cane not only is easy to catch in pasture, he does well in it -- he will not try to cross fences or get out of the confined area.

Here, you can see Cane's incredible muscle tone and defintiion in his hind quarters  (okay, his rear end)!!  He is solid and healthy as a (dare I say it??) horse!
